It’s been some time since I’ve posted on this blog and I am happy that topomodesto gave me the opportunity to put together a mix. In the face of algorithm driven mix generation I hope that there continues to be interest in crafting diverse listening experiences. What may start as a matter of convenience easily translates into common practice. Collecting and orchestrating music samples into coherent ideas may be perfected by professional dj’s, but I find my interests don’t take root until I search out the connections between songs and artists myself. And this invariably leads me to more good music.
It was a real pleasure to put this together, hopefully it inspires you in the waning days of summer.
