A winning personality. A balanced approach. An honest voice. Only time can write a song that’s really really real. The best a man can say is the way its playing feels. And know that he only knows as much as time to him reveals…

K-Stars are amazing. Where can I find more them.. information, records etc.
Also, thank you so much for all the good work you do. You are my favourite music blog.
Thanks for the kind words!
K-Stars were a very short-lived group out of Richmond, BC Canada (near Vancouver), and affiliated with the Arlington, VA-based record label, Teenbeat. As far as I know, they only recorded 2 songs ever, which were intended to be released as a 7″ in 1996, but never materialized. “Drugs & Gurus” was to be the b-side, and can be found on the 1998 Teenbeat Sampler. The a-side, “Ghetto Deluxe,” was excellent (I’ve featured it on mixes before), and was released on the 1996 Teenbeat Sampler. Each are only $5 each by mailorder… I really like the ’97 sampler too.
