September 2007 Mix
Ok, so for the record I went to a couple shows recently; Tokyo Police Club & Foreign Born. Both were great, but it doesn’t look like I’m going to get around to posting about them. Both did single-song encores, which is fun, but to me is like only having 15 pieces of flair. It’s the bare minimum, ok? Tokyo Police Club did “Friends of P” by The Rentals which was pretty awesome. Possibly even more awesome was Foreign Born finally playing my favorite song (and last month mix selection), “In The Shape.” Pitchfork can go smurf themselves, and you should go get that album. The new Okkervil River and New Pornographers are well worth your paper as well. I’d tell you about them, but then I’d have to thrill you.

This month’s mix is one of the best so far and seems to have turned out to have a bit of a ‘love’ theme. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
