I posted back at the beginning of the year about a D.C. band, Cedars, that seemed mighty promising. Well they released their first EP recently and I wanted to follow up because its quite good.
They do tend a little to far towards polished UK acts like Editors (who they’ve been playing with) for me. The Built to Spill feel that I had gotten from one of their demos seems to have disappeared with production. But I still like them, and the songs should be required listening for anyone who tends towards the Interpol or even the Death Cab spectrum of the indie world.
