On a whim I checked out Washington, D.C.’s Five Four. I’m gonna call it early Sea and Cake sung by a non-screaming Kathleen Hannah. Or maybe Helium meets Bloc Party. No, Kathleen Hannah was a better comparison, but they’re not that aggressive, and more upbeat in a danceable sort of way. Either way, I like their stuff… They have a demo/EP up, and each of the 4 songs are pretty much equally good, so go check them out. And somebody, please take a better picture of them.
