Do people even watch music videos anymore? I mean, other that the occasional internet download, I don’t even know where one goes to see videos these days. Well I was going to put up a post to celebrate the arrival of the webcam lip-sync video (call it “fan-syncing” or something), but it looks like somebody beat me to the punch.
Nevertheless, the recent rendition of Bloc Party’s “Banquet” that appeared on Google video makes me wonder about the future of music videos. It barely holds my attention, but there’s something simple and wonderful about the way that she acts out guitar riffs with her face. That and the times that she has to turn down the volume so as to avoid the wrath of mom and dad.
