My favorites like Les Savy Fav at #2 are the ones that make me the most uncomfortable, that breech some kind social norm. Yes the Modest Mouse and the Peanut Butter Wolf pics are clever, but don't take the same risks that The Knife does. I guess I see these surreal photos as critical of the medium of "press photos" and institutions that bring them our way. That and they are just plain funny.
